Well, that was quite the disappointing win. Not as bad as the Raiders one was, but still, rather disappointing. On the other hand, Rex’s teams always play their best against the Pats, as the last 3 games have been decided by 3 points or less(BUTTFUMBLE BUTTFUMBLE). Sorry, had to get that out of my system.
On to the positives!
Positives:
-Brady was on fire again today, as he wasted no time gashing the Jets on the first drive of the game, tossing a 49 yard touchdown pass to Vereen(who made a nice tribute to a fallen Ridley). He played masterfully, chucking 20 balls for 261 yards and 3 touchdowns, dominating from the shotgun spread, and picking apart a weak New York secondary.
-Danny Amendola exists! The underwhelming 5 mil a year replacement for Wes finally shows up this year, and surprisingly outplays Edelman, with 1 catch for 19 yards and a TD. It was a beautiful turnaround grab by Danny, which eventually clinched the game for NE.
-His kickoff returns were very solid as well, as he averaged 26 yards per kick, with his longest being a 31 yarder. Not eye-popping, but better than having Slater taking touchbacks all the time.
-After having a rough outing against Buffalo, Allen punted his laces off, averaging 45 yards per punt and booming one for 55 yards! He also pinned New York inside the 20 twice.

-Chris Jones took a demon off his back Thursday; the penalty last year that took a game away from NE in the Meadowlands, as Folk missed a FG in overtime, he was called for a penalty that hasn’t been called for a long time. He took redemption today, blocking the FG against the same team, dashing their hopes and securing the win for NE.
Negatives:
-While the pass rush attained 3 sacks, the Pats played awful overall on the defensive side of the field. They committed no turnovers against a Qb that has had the most TOs since 2013, absolutely got run over by Chris Ivory to the tune of 107 yards and a TD, and let the Jets hang onto the ball for 40 minutes. Thank god it was the dysfunctional team from Jersey, or the Pats might have lost today.

Tom…please. Don’t flop. (Look for when #78 knocks into Brady).
Don’t be like LeBron, bud. (LOL at Rex pumping his fists, that’s pretty sad, Coach.)
NE faces Chicago, a team with a dominating offense and improving defense next week. But with 4 games in the last 18 days, the Pats were probably fatigued. They get 10 days to rest, and it’s on to face an NFc powerhouse at home.
