Patriots Shoot Down Broncos, Have Bye But Have Tough Opponents
November 4, 2014
After beating the Broncos, the Patriots steal the crown for kings of the AFC. The Patriots are now better with the record and as a team. Peyton Manning stunk and didn't look like himself at all. Tom Brady and the Patriots did what happened last week against the Bears for the whole game. Belichick was “one step ahead” of master Manning as Manning threw 2 INTs and was 3 for 11 on third downs. Manning was very inaccurate. Although after the last TD Brady threw to Gronkowski, people started to wonder, is it still a safe game or not. Peyton Manning has came from behind many times in his career and could have against the Patriots. But the Patriots defense stopped Manning very well. Revis and Browner took down receivers Manning needed and the defense was giving him pressure in the pocket and getting the sacks. But at halftime when it was only 27-7, against any normal quarterback it would be a good lead. But the Patriots were not done because Manning scored 2 ore TDs in the second half and the Patriots offense scored more and more points. Coming into this game, the Broncos were considered Super Bowl favorites. But after watching the most recent game, the Patriots are back and maybe the Patriots would be the ones making the Super Bowl. The Patriots are the “man” in the AFC as the Pats continue to dominate the AFC. It's surprising to see how one month ago many people thought the Patriots dynasty was over, and then Brady shows everyone that the Pats were back. Many thought the Broncos would win the game because of their singings of Talib, Ware, Sanders, and Ward while the Patriots only signed LaFell, Revis and Browner. Now the Patriots have high expectations to win games. This matchup might have decided who gets home field advantage in the playoffs, and I'm sure the Patriots want that, but the records are also a factor. It's only halfway through the season and seven wins isn't enough, the Patriots are going to have to get more to be a threat in the playoffs. And another game in New England in January could mean another Pats run to the Super Bowl. The Patriots have a bye this week, and then the Pats face a high powered offense Colts on a Sunday Night matchup. The Patriots will be practicing during their bye week for the Colts, and hopefully get another win. The Patriots have been 5-0 in their last 5 games and the next few match ups will be hard for the team. After the bye week, the patriots face the Colts (Sunday Night), Lions, Packers, Chargers (Sunday Night), Dolphins, Jets, and Bills. The Patriots are sitting at the top of the AFC, and have just beaten the high powered offense Broncos. The Pats deserve this bye week and could help Chandler Jones into becoming healthy. The Patriots will be going through the hardest stretch of the season, and 3 out of the next 4 games are on the road. The Pats did this in the beginning of the season. The Pats have 2 prime time games and are facing Luck, Rodgers, and Rivers, 3 top 10 quarterbacks this season. To end the season, the Patriots will face 3 strait divisional match ups. The Dolphins and Bills are at 5-3 and are coming close to the Patriots. The Pats are 2-1 on prime time games this year. Pats will face Luck and Rivers on prime time. The Colts are 5-3 and the Chargers are 5-4 but Belichick is 2-0 against Luck and 5-1 against Rivers. It looks like out of all the games the Pats have left, the toughest opponent is against the Dolphins. The Patriots lost to the Dolphins week 1 and the Dolphins will give Brady pressure again to try to win the game. The Dolphins will be tough to stop during the stretch. The Patriots offense and defense have changed and are very successful, and while the Patriots have just beat the Broncos, the Patriots have a long and hard stretch, starting next with the Colts.
