Another day, another rout of a top team, a.k.a. the Colts. Since the blowout loss to the Chiefs, the Pats have been 6-0, defeating top teams like the Bills, Broncos, and now Colts. On to the positives!
Positives:
-How can we not talk about Jonas Gray is we are going to talk about this game? The kid has been on fire! He has more rushing TDs than anyone else on the roster, and scored as many TDs as any other RB that week. Jamaal Charles was the only one with more than one TD. The power running game just added another dimension to an already fierce Pats team, and it is only going to get better from here.
-GRONK GRONK GRONK. WHAT A BEAST. He has been playing lights out since Week 5! He has over 500 yards of scrimmage in his last 6 games to go along with 6 TDs! He absolutely loved blocking for Gray tonight, even throwing former Pats safety Sergio Brown “out of the club.”
-On a side note, how does Sergio even have a job in the NFL? He played like garbage here, he is only a run of the mill player.
-Brady’s second half: With the confidence invested in the running game, Brady took his time and threaded the needle on some perfect throws to LaFell. He also hit a nice swing pass to Vereen, which he caught and ran for 39 yards.
-Revis was on fire, batting a ball up for McCourty to pick off. Hilton was stuffed all night, and Luck looked very uncomfortable in the pocket.
Negatives:
-Brady’s first half. That’s it, and even that wasn’t all that awful.
It doesn’t get much easier for the Pats, with a home game against the Lions in the mix.
